Why are you implementing MFA?
{openTab}
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance account security, Columbia Private Trust is implementing MFA. MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second step to verify your identity when logging into the client portal. This makes it considerably more difficult for unauthorized users to access your account.
Who does this impact?
Everyone who has online access or who is planning to register for online access (including Clients and Account Affiliates).
What can I do to prepare for the transition to MFA?
As Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) was implemented on August 18, 2025, no additional preparation is required. Simply be sure your account contact information is current. If you need to update your information, please call our Client Services Team at 800.962.4238 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MT.
When will this enhancement take effect?
